As is true across our country, the need for food is increasing dramatically as individuals face the difficult choice between food and housing, food and medicine, food and childcare…food and heat. Bremerton Foodline (BFL) eases the burden of that choice just a bit by providing a much needed emergency safety net. Our work is possible thanks to the support of our wonderful volunteers and donations from individuals, businesses, churches and community organizations. Only working together can we alleviate the pain of hunger for our neighbors!
If you need help or know someone that needs help please see our Need Help? page for valuable information, or contact us at BFL.
Facility Hours: Mon thru Fri 10:00 am until 1:45 pm. See closure info [here].

DONATIONS NEEDED - This is the time of year when donations start to drop off. Donations pick up during the holiday season which is much appreciated. However, the Foodline relies on food and cash donations throughout the year. Cash donations are the most effective way to donate. Please see our Donate page for more information.
Food drives are another way to help the Foodline. Recently two food drives brought the Foodline much needed food supplies. The combined church event with New Life Silverdale, Peninsula Bible Fellowship, and Coram Deo that netted 6400 lbs. of food and sundries from the Good Saturday campaign on March 30. The following week culminated a month long food drive at Abundant Life Foursquare Church that netted 3,085 lbs of food and sundries. Thanks to the generous efforts of these organizations. If your organization would like to help by holding a food drive see here for more information.
See our new Board of Directors officers [here]. President Earl Burt, Vice President Scott Menard, Treasurer Christine Davis, and Secretary Emily Hatt. Great appreciation for out going president Kim Faulkner and treasurer Dirk VanZantin.

FOOD RECALLS - The Bremerton Foodline is informed on a regular basis of products being recalled or otherwise not safe for consumption by our clients. Our policy is to respond to all recall notifications immediately by removing these items from our inventory. We often have specific information posted at our facility. For more information visit the Food and Drug Administration website.
VOLUNTEERS NEEDED - Because of state budget cut-backs, the numbers of volunteers we get from Kitsap Community Resources is way down. We handle lots of food each day and serve many clients. We need volunteers in many areas. If you might consider volunteering, even for one day a week, please Contact Us or see our Volunteer page for more information.
