Board of Directors

The Board of Directors at Bremerton Foodline is responsible for overseeing the organization. Comprised of individuals with diverse backgrounds, the board collaborates to generate innovative ideas, develop strategic plans, and implement solutions for the organization. Their focus is on providing high-level strategic direction, maintaining oversight, and ensuring accountability within the organization.

The board is committed to continuous self-improvement in order to enhance the organization's effectiveness and impact on the community.

Jamie Callahan
Board President

Jamie Callahan

Jamie has been a volunteer and board member of the Bremerton Foodline since 2016. As a veteran's spouse, she has experienced deployments and other challenges that military families face. Various professional experiences have taught her many essential life skills, from teaching swim lessons and being a cycling instructor to caring for elderly and dementia patients to working with developmentally disabled adults. When not volunteering, Jamie is the office manager and marketing director for her family's company, Kitsap Junk Removal. Her hobbies include crafts, reading, camping, serving at her church and children's school, and spending time with my family. She truly loves living here in beautiful Kitsap County and is passionate about improving the community where she and her family reside.
David Seaton
Vice President

David Seaton

David is a committed board member who transitioned from an active volunteer to a dedicated board member, driven by a strong commitment to community service. After receiving support from Bremerton Foodline personally, David channeled his personal experiences into advocating for positive change within the organization.

David is currently pursuing a degree in healthcare administration. He aims to use his compassion, education, and diverse skills to contribute to healthcare equity and make a lasting impact on the overall well-being of the community. In addition to his philanthropic work, David is a talented musician who plays the trumpet and sings.

Bill Elwell
Treasurer

Bill Elwell

At the beginning of his career, Bill worked on aerospace applications of computers with the FAA and NASA. Subsequently, he worked for various computer manufacturers. In 1997, he joined Intel Corporation, a company known for making processors for computers. After leaving Intel, Bill transitioned to more hands-on work, including teaching Network Forensics at Highline College and providing customer support as a technician for Pro Group Networks. Eventually, Bill purchased Pro Group Networks.

Apart from work, Bill is active in supporting the Bremerton Foodline by volunteering, hosting events, and serving as a Board Member. Bill also volunteers with other organizations such as Big Brothers of America.

Deborah Bonneville
Secretary

Deborah Bonneville

Deborah, a native of Kitsap County, has deep connections to her community. She dedicated 15 years to managing a soup kitchen, where she focused on serving the needy and fostering a culture of compassion and generosity. Alongside her 25-year career in residential real estate sales, Deborah excels in both her professional and philanthropic endeavors.

Currently, she volunteers and serves as a board member. Using her extensive experience and commitment to service, Deborah plays a key role in developing strategies and programs to combat food insecurity and provide aid to vulnerable individuals and families in the community.

Robert Nash

Robert Nash

Robert is a retired Culinary Professor from Olympic College. He has been living in Bremerton for 10 years and has been a volunteer and board member for the Bremerton Foodline. Robert firmly believes that everyone should have access to a warm meal because he sees food as life.

In his spare time, Robert enjoys creating recipes and providing samples for the clients of Bremerton Foodline. This not only offers creative and healthy meal options but also helps in effectively utilizing the ingredients available at the food bank. Additionally, Robert enjoys gardening, photography, hiking, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Toby Salter

Herbert "Toby" Salter

Herbert "Toby" Salter is a proud native of Bremerton. He graduated from Olympic High School in 1988 before joining the United States Navy's construction unit, the Seabees. His military service instilled discipline, teamwork, and leadership skills.

Committed to community service, Toby actively participated in Boy Scouts and Explorer Search and Rescue. As a board member, Toby brings a unique blend of military discipline, community engagement, and inclusive leadership. His core values of faith, empathy, and integrity extend beyond blood ties to embrace a broader sense of community. Toby believes in leading by example, emphasizing grassroots leadership with humility.

Richard Lemieux

Richard Lemieux

After being evicted from his luxury home and losing all his assets when his business failed, Richard found himself living in a beat-up van with his dog, Willow. He relied on food banks like the Bremerton Foodline and had breakfast each morning at the Salvation Army. It was during this time that Richard wrote "Breakfast at Sally’s" on a second-hand typewriter.

Today, Richard is a published writer and a passionate advocate for the homeless. He is a public speaker and serves as a volunteer and board member for not only the Bremerton Foodline and Salvation Army, but also for many other crucial community resource organizations.

James Goodman (Goody)

James Goodman

James, "Goody," was born and raised in East Bremerton and has a deep affection for everything Kitsap County has to offer. In 2001, Goody enlisted in the US Air Force to serve his country. Following his military service, he worked at PSNS for several years while pursuing his undergraduate degree. Subsequently, he transitioned to a new career as a Family Assistance Specialist, focusing on helping local veterans, military service members, and their families.

In 2014, Goody became a Board Member at the Bremerton Foodline, serving as a liaison for veterans in need. After three years, he relocated and left the BFL Board to work full-time at various non-profit agencies. In 2022, Goody and his family returned to the Bremerton area, and he promptly resumed his role on the BFL Board. Goody is thrilled to be part of the Bremerton community, has a passion for serving, and is dedicated to ensuring food security for all.
