Bremerton Backpack Brigade
The Bremerton Backpack Brigade is licensed 501(c)3 non-profit. We are endorsed by the Bremerton School District, governed by a Board of Directors, supported by local businesses & civic organizations, as well as many individuals. Our team is comprised solely of volunteers committed to helping fight food insecurities in the Bremerton community.
Children have more difficulty learning when they are hungry, additionally they are sick more frequently when proper nutrition is not a part of their daily routine. Volunteers and community organizations working together are making a difference in the lives of hungry children in Bremerton, one backpack of food at a time, allowing these children to come to school on Monday morning without the burden of hunger, ready to learn and thrive.

Scarlet Road
Through holistic care, Scarlet Road offers the hope of freedom to those who have been sexually exploited.
At Scarlet Road, we believe in the possibility that hope brings. Each journey is unique and every story sacred. We believe each person can begin their journey of healing right where they are and that every person should be loved and supported.
We provide critical safety and basic needs to help stabilize individuals coming out of the trauma of sexual exploitation. From there we work to support each survivor on their journey of building emotional and physical health, reducing barriers, pursuing future goals, identifying healthy boundaries, spiritual discovery, and self-awareness.
Scarlet Road provides diverse support in the areas of employment assistance, housing support services, educational advising, therapeutic and mental health resources, treatment referrals, and a network of trusted resources. We do this in order to create an individualized opportunity for healing and lasting change for each person. Scarlet Road invests in survivors in a way that is relevant to the individual. We believe in offering not just a program for healing, but the foundation for sustainable change, and a promising future to build upon.
